Approach depends on the goal
A tool just for you needs different things than one for your family or your club. The table shows what matters and what to write into the description.
| Goal | What matters | Addition for the description |
|---|---|---|
| Just for me | It can be specific. What matters are the features you really need and that your data stays. | “Keep it simple. No instructions needed, I am the only user.” |
| To share | Clear labels, a short explanation in the tool, a meaningful name, no private data in the code. | “Add an explanation in two sentences at the top. All texts are in English and easy to change.” |
| For family or children | Very large buttons, little text, no accidental delete actions. | “Every delete action asks first. Buttons at least 64 px tall.” |
| Important in the long run | Backing up the data comes first. Losing it would be annoying. | “Add an export and an import button for all data (JSON file).” |
| To try things out | Start fast and small, extend later. The templates save the first step. | “Start with the simplest version. I will tell you afterwards what is missing.” |
| Together with gallery tools | Same message kinds and target names as the gallery, strict checks when receiving. | “Send and receive messages in the shared format { typ, v, id, text } of the Artefakt gallery, kind ‘erledigt’, target ‘Habit chain’ (adjustable).” |
